Do you need help getting your breast imaging covered?
Whether you have a high deductible or no insurance, SUFTC would like to help cover breast imaging costs for those in need. Early detection is critical and all the gracious donors to SUFTC want to make sure you receive the care you deserve. Please reference the graph below to see if your household size and income makes you a candidate for assistance.

Services we may help cover:
SUFTC can help cover up to $2500 per individual while funds last. SUFTC reserves to right to honor exceptions.
Screening mammograms:
Average risk individuals can begin screening mammograms yearly starting at the age of 40.
All individuals must have a current care provider. If you do not have a provider, please call 231-672-7991 and the Trinity Health breast care coordinators can help.
Individuals at elevated risk of breast cancer due to family history, genetic mutations, or history of chest wall radiation may qualify to begin yearly mammograms before the age of 40 but no younger than 30. A physician’s order is required for a screening mammogram if you are younger than the age of 40. Talk to your healthcare provider to find out at what age you should start having your annual mammogram.
Diagnostic Breast Imaging (Mammogram and/or Ultrasound)
Individual at any age with a new breast concern. A diagnostic order must come from a provider.
Breast biopsies
May be recommended by a radiologist and can be covered up to the individual maximum for patient assistance.
Breast MRIs
For individuals at elevated risk for breast cancer and meet national guidelines. Must have an order from a provider.
